Our History
Since 1978, all five locally owned Quality Food stores have been “Hometown Proud” supermarkets. That means we are deeply committed to being more than just a great grocery store. It means we strive every day to make a difference in our communities. All Quality Foods are also proudly “5 star” IGA stores. This is a constant effort on behalf of our management and staff to provide food needs to the communities we serve at a level that exceeds customer expectations with quality products, competitive prices, outstanding service, impeccable cleanliness, and to always be the best employer. Contributions to Charities, Service Groups, and Schools:
• We participate in Scrip: Local discount to churches, schools and non-profit organizations 
• 5% discount to all non-profit organizations
• 5% Senior citizen discount day (every Tuesday)
• We support school events and sports through advertisements in yearbooks and programs
• We participate in field trips for area schools 
• We host brat cookout and car wash fundraisers for area non-profit organizations
• We offer Hunger Bags, which are donated to local food pantries

Each year IGA Retailers undergo a series of rigorous assessments to ensure that customers are encountering exceptional shopping experiences each and every time they enter an IGA store. In-store appraisals combine with training and customer feedback evaluations to create a thorough assessment process, and in the end, only the very best IGA Retailers are awarded the coveted Five Star Retailer Status.
